Let's start with thinking about the difference in how you feel when you look at posed photos vs candid photos. You know, the ones where you and your sibling are running around the yard or that picture where you and grandma exchanged hugs at your graduation. How you feel when you look at a photo and you find yourself right back there in that moment. That's how your wedding gallery should feel. This involves me, the photographer, taking a backseat at times so that moments happen and flow naturally rather than being set up or staged along with an open flow of communication leading up to wedding day. Observing is key when it comes to photojournalistic style photography. Being empathetic to those around me and the memories being made is where the inspiration comes from for your wedding photos so that when you look back at them ten years from now, it feels nostalgic and emotional.
